Test your Server FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions
General

The test indicates that a service is not running. What does this mean?

The port tested was found to be open but there was no response from the software running on that port. For example, if the test indicates that the webserver service is not running, it means that we found the default port 80 to be open but the webserver was not responding. The reason for this could be that you do not have a webserver installed on your computer, or the webserver that is installed is not configured to listen on the default port 80.
