You can password protect PlanetDNS Client, which requires users to enter a password before gaining access to the software properties.

Password protecting the software properties

1. Right-mouse click on the PlanetDNS Client icon in the system tray and select Properties...
   
   
    

2. Cick the Settings tab.
   
   
   
    

3. Select the I am an Expert option.
    

4. Press the Configure... button. This will bring up the Configure Tabs... dialog:
   
   
    

5. Click the Enable Password check box.
    

6. Enter your password in the Password field.
    

7. Re-enter your password in the Confirm Password field.
    

8. When finished, click the OK button.

The next time a user wants to access the software properties, a password dialog will appear. In order to see the software properties, the user will have to enter the password established in Step 6 above.
