You can test your Internet name to ensure that you have set up the software correctly, by pressing the Test feature in the Connection tab of PlanetDNS Client. The test confirms that your PlanetDNS Client is operating properly by reporting your Internet name's current IP address.

Testing your Internet name

1. Right-mouse click on the PlanetDNS Client icon in the system tray and select Properties...
   
   
    

2. Click on the Connection tab.
    

   NOTE: If you do not see the Connection tab, it means that the software is running in Novice mode. To see the Connection tab, you must set the software to Expert mode. For details, click here.
    

   
   

3. Press the Test button.
    

4. If the status indicates that You are currently online and an IP address is shown, all your settings are correct.
