PlanetRemote's file transfer function must be enabled before the local computer can access the PlanetRemote-enabled computer's files over the Internet.

 

To Enable File Transfer

  1.  Right-mouse click on the PlanetRemote icon in the system tray (along the bottom of your screen against the right corner) and select Properties...

  2. Click on the Files tab.


     

  3. Click the Enable File Transfer option.
     

  4. Click the Allow downloading of files from this computer option.
     

  5. Click the Allow uploading of files to this computer option.
     

  6. For added security, you can click the Do not allow uploaded files to overwrite existing files (recommended) option.
     

  7. Click the Allow File Transfers through a Proxy Server option.
     

  8. Click the Apply button to save the changes option.
     

  9. Click the OK button to finish.
