If you are experiencing difficulties with PlanetRemote, you can have PlanetDNS Technical Support personnel assist you remotely. Follow the steps below to obtain assistance from our technical support staff:

 

Requesting Remote Support

  1. Right-mouse click on the PlanetDNS Client icon in the system tray (along the bottom of your screen against the right corner) and select Properties...


     

  2. Click the VNC tab.


     

  3. Press the Get Assistance button, which will prompt the Get Assistance dialog (shown  below).


     

  4. In order for PlanetDNS Technical Support to assist you remotely on your computer, you must first read and agree to the Terms of Service. If you agree with the Terms of Service, select the Yes, I agree with the above terms of service option and press the Next button.


     

  5. If you are willing to hand over control of your computer to a PlanetDNS Technical Support specialist, select the Yes, I need assistance now option . Then, press the  Next button to continue.


     

  6. Please wait while the PlanetDNS Technical Support Center is being contacted and you are assigned a technical support specialist . Once a technical support specialist has been assigned to you, press the Finish button.


     

  7. After you have pressed Finish, the Support Chat window (shown below) will appear. Type your question, or problem in the text window provided. Your assigned technical support specialist will communicate with you through the window.

 

Disconnecting from PlanetDNS Technical Support

Disconnect from PlanetDNS Technical Support at any time, by pressing the Disconnect button.
