You can secure PlanetRemote's settings by requiring users to enter a password to access the software properties.

Password Protecting the Software Properties

1. Right-mouse click on the PlanetDNS Client icon in the system tray (along the bottom of your screen against the right corner) and select Properties...
   
   
   
    

2. Click the Settings tab.
   
   
   
    

3. Select the I am an Expert option.
    

4. Press the Configure... button. This will bring up the Configure Tabs... dialog (shown below).
   
   
    

5. Click the Enable Password check box.
    

6. Enter your password in the Password field.
    

7. Re-enter your password in the Confirm Password field.
    

8. When finished, click the OK button.

The next time you want to access PlanetRemote's software properties, a password dialog will appear. To access the software properties, you will have to enter the password you established in Step 6 above.
