Test your Server FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions
Service blocked by ISP

The test indicates that certain ports are blocked by my ISP, what does this mean?

If your ISP is blocking a specific port for a service such as webserver on port 80 then you will not be able to run that service on its default port. However, you can configure the PlanetDNS Client software to utilize web port redirection by specifying an alternate port to use that is not being blocked by your ISP. For detailed instructions on how-to setup web port redirection please go to the How-To section in the PlanetDNS Client online help.
