Frequently Asked Questions

Which services and ports can be checked?

You can select any or all of the following test to be performed on your server:

Web Server on port 80 (default) *
FTP Server on port 21 (default)
Mail SMTP Server on port 25 (default)*
Mail POP3 Server on port 110 (default)
Mail IMAP Server on port 143 (default)
PlanetRemote Server on port 6600 (default) *
PlanetRemote Server on port 6700 (default) *

* The ports indicated are the defaults. You can change these ports in the PlanetDNS software to an alternate port. If an alternate port has been set in the software, these will be used instead of the defaults indicated above.
